SEEK

SEEK: For the "Skeptical but Curious"
The SEEK class provides a safe space to explore questions of faith. Each evening includes a casual dinner, a thought-provoking talk, and a relaxed group discussion. There is no cost for SEEK but registration is required.
FIND OUT MORE
Is SEEK right for you?
  • Are you wondering if and how faith might play a greater role in your life?
  • Are you curious about Jesus but skeptical about Christianity?
  • Are you interested in the idea of connecting with God but unsure how to pursue it?

Here's what other New Yorkers say about our SEEK Class:
  • “A fun, intellectual and non-threatening way to explore faith . . .”
  • “The best place in NYC to get connected with God in an easy and real way . . .”
  • “Open and welcoming to everyone, no matter what type of religion . . .”
  • “It helped me to get more in touch with my spirituality, feel closer to God . . .”

SEEK Presenters:
  • Charles Park grew up in a Buddhist & Confucian-influenced home and emigrated to the U.S. from Korea at age 14. He later went on to earn a Ph.D. in Economics from M.I.T.
  • John Furste grew up in a secular environment with little exposure to faith or religion. He taught Spanish for 3 years before helping pioneer a church for "people who don't do church."
  • Peter Eavis grew up in a non-religious family but became intrigued with faith & spirituality soon after he left college. He is a reporter for the New York Times.
  • Sara Furste's childhood was steeped in church life but after losing her mother to A.L.S. she began to question her assumptions about faith & religion.

To get on the SEEK email list or ask questions, please email John Furste at SEEK@riverNYC.org.
