Asha India

Asha India is an NGO in Delhi that works with the urban poor to bring about long-term and sustainable transformation to their quality of life. In the past, our partnership has included things like raising money for Asha, sending groups of River-ites to India on volunteer trips, and hearing the Asha founders speak at our church.

New York Cares
|
New York Cares provides year-round volunteer opportunities for New Yorkers. Their projects include educating children, teens, and adults; serving those impacted by hunger and homelessness; health and wellness for seniors and other vulnerable groups; and caring for public parks, community gardens, and green spaces. One way the River has partnered with New York Cares is by gathering coats for their annual coat drive.

The River is part of the Post-Evangelical Collective, a network of churches that are committed to the shared values of: The Way of Jesus, Full Inclusion, Holistic Justice, Deep and Wide Formation, and Gracious Posture. Pastor Alison serves as one of the Co-Regional Area Developers for the Northeast.
