New Series and New Season!

1/9/2019

Happy New Year! I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and holiday. 2019 is here and RiverKids/Youth are starting a new series this Sunday (1/13), called "Living & Loving Together". We will explore different stories from the Bible to discover the joy of connection and strengthening our capabilities for life giving relationships. We're really excited for the children to learn how to develop strong friendships and treasure their connections.
Our awesome volunteers!
As you know, our RiverKids/Youth volunteers are some of the most caring and hard-working people around!  They dedicate as many as 2 Sundays a month to volunteer which means they have fewer opportunities to be a part of the main service on the 13th floor.  So as we begin this new season, I know you'd like to join me in thinking of ways that we all can make our volunteers' time more fun and fulfilling (and less stressful :D) as they work with our children on Sundays.

3 things YOU CAN DO!
1. Please put your kids in their age-appropriate classes.  This helps us manage class size, so as to not overwhelm our volunteers and create a safe and fun environment for everyone.
(Got siblings who want to stay together?  If your Preschool child and Lower Elementary child want to be in class together, please take them to the Preschool Class where we currently have more space.)

2. Become a parent volunteer. We always welcome an extra helper and you can get a better sense of what your children are learning in Riverkids.  We can work with any frequency/availability.

3. Please keep toys at home.  We know it's exciting to show new treasures to friends but, unfortunately, they can create a distraction in class.

If you have any other idea that maybe helpful or if you have any concerns or questions, please reach me at [email protected]. I wish you all the joy of the seasons in the new year!

Thank you,
Amelia Cunard
