River Family Newsletter: A New Season of Wonder

Dear River Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful and refreshing summer! As the new school year begins, I’m feeling especially excited to welcome our children and youth back to RiverKids and RiverYouth next Sunday, September 13, as we officially kick off another year together.
There is something special about the beginning of a new season — a chance to start fresh, reconnect, and wonder together about what God might have in store for us.

• This year, our RiverKids journey is called The Way of Wonder — an invitation for our kids to notice God’s presence in their everyday lives and respond with curiosity, creativity, and courage. Through imagination, art, music, stories, nature, and play, children will have space to slow down, ask questions, and discover God in the world around them. We might wonder, “What can the trees teach us about growing?” or “I wonder what God sees when God looks at me?” There won't always be a right answer — and that's part of the wonder. Our hope is to help children develop a natural and meaningful relationship with God, learning to recognize and respond to God's invitations in their own unique ways. As always, Sunday stories are available here for families to view and use as is most helpful for your family. Please reach out to me or Maddie for the password. 
  
  
•  Parents Gatherings | September 27 & November 8, after worship service | This is a relaxed space that's designed just for you to connect with other parents, reflect on what our kids/youth are learning, and talk about how we can nurture faith, emotional health, and belonging at home. Pizza will be provided and please contact me for childcare. We hope you'll join us.
  
  
• Upcoming groups and events | With LifeGroups returning from summer break and a variety of new groups and events on the horizon, this is an exciting season to reconnect, build community, and welcome new possibilities. Please visit our website for more information.
